But we live in a world crushed and broken and torn, a world God Himself visited to redeem. We receive his poured-out life, and being allowed the high privilege of suffering with Him, may then pour ourselves out for others. Did This Article Help You? God does heal the brokenheart. I accepted Jesus after age 30 while still suffering from bad depression.

Authority Magazine

My depression began from a failed relationship that occurred in my early 20s and I had so many regrets. I tried so many ways to get over it, without much success. Suicide was often in my mind all the years. The first 2 years as a christian, I spent a lot of time understanding repentance and putting it into practice. God impressed upon me that sins will hinder prayer and that I need help from from the Holy Spirit. After I turned 32, my depression disappeared and I am not quite sure when exactly it left me. I also lay my regrets to rest. I attributed it as an affirmation of a healed broken heart.

I am in the stage of depression because of lose very loved one. We are working in the same company and it is so hard for me to get over with it because we really could see each other everyday.

I am trying to avoid him or him towards me but it is hurting. I am trying to accept everything. Trying to move on but still so hard. Is there a certain bible verse for that?

See a Problem?

I know He is there but I stil feel so small. Give me tips how to overcome this.

Hello friend. If you are depressed, talk to your pastor about serving somewhere in the church. The people that serve find that their depression lifts, especially like our church where we visit the hospital, nursing home, prisons, and even help the homeless. It takes our eyes off of ourselves and onto others. Does your church have various ministries? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest. No single set of verses can compare with the whole Word of God in context.

The Gospel of John is among the greatest for those who are experiencing a dry season where God seems silent. Start in this book today. Hi jack. Our company has only one ministry. Yeah I join the activities. I do not give to you as the world gives.

Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. When He gives, He does it with no strings attached. Peace, even in the middle of a battle, is His gift to us when we lean into Him. Instead, He is a loving God who asks to sit with and comfort us while we heal. Our inability to deal with a situation gives Him a chance to step in and show us that His strength will lift the weight of disappointment, every single time. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Brokenness Quotes

Your burdens are not too heavy for God to bear. He created you to be dependent on Him, and He rejoices in lightening our load. I am a survivor of childhood physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. But I no longer view myself as a victim.

Recently On Prayer

I have decided I do not need to destroy myself with anger, hate, and thoughts of revenge. My Savior knows what happened. I have left it in his hands to make judgment and decide punishment. I am not to blame for what happened to me. I cannot change the past. But I can change the future. The ripples in my pond will spread through future generations. Recently the Church magazines invited readers who experienced childhood abuse to share how the gospel of Jesus Christ helped them on their journeys to healing.

Responses, such as the one above, were as unique as each individual. These eternal truths, accompanied with guidance from caring priesthood leaders and counsel from qualified therapists, made the journey to healing a reality. The results of childhood abuse, whether sexual, physical, or emotional, are devastating. Those who shared their stories related similar challenges as they grew into adulthood: fear, anger, distrust, depression, a poor sense of self-worth. Powerful, debilitating feelings affected every aspect of their lives.

As long as I keep moving on the path of recovery, the Lord will assist me. I have a new appreciation for mercy and the need for the Atonement. I have a deep appreciation for my Savior. Truly the Atonement plays the crucial role in the healing process as people with broken hearts and scarred spirits realize they are not alone in their pain.
